A longest serving member of the Credit Corporation Board, and Vice Chancellor of the University of Papua New Guinea, Dr. Albert Mellam, has finally been appointed as the Board Chairman.
Dr. Mellam who is also the Executive Director of the PNG Chamber of Mines and Petroleum now takes over from Richard Sinamoi, who has been in that position for the last year and three months.
Credit Corporation Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Danny Robinson, when thanking Mr. Sinamoi, said that Mr. Sinamoi was instrumental in coming up with the Group's strong half-year results, and their half-year announcement of dividend payments.
He also said that the Board believes that Dr. Mellam with his vast wealth of experience and expertise, will ensure that the company continues to deliver positive returns, whilst achieving key milestones in accordance with its strategic plans.
Mr. Robinson also added that Mr. Sinamoi will remain on the Board as a Director, and also assume the role of Strategy and Investment Committee Group Chairman.
